Is the Silent Reading Party happening tomorrow evening? Six o'clock at the Sorrento?

Yes! It's back. The outdoor silent-reading party last month was a wild success (just look how cute it was), but it's gotten too cold for reading outdoors after work. So, we're going back inside starting tomorrow night.

The reading party is from 6:00 to 9:00 pm the first Wednesday of the month in the Fireside Room at the Sorrento. As always, you bring whatever you feel like reading and read silently to yourself in a room full of people doing the same thing. As always, the drink special is a $5 Manhattan. Special programming note: Since there's a presidential debate tomorrow night from 6:00 to 7:30 pm, we're not going to have live music this month; instead, the Sorrento will be broadcasting the debate in the bar in the next room, so that the politics nerds among us can watch the debate in there for the first half of the reading party and then wander back into the Fireside Room for the second half. (The live music will return for the November 7 edition, with Will Bielawski on harp.)

As always, the reading party is all ages and free.

c'mon and indulge my delusions about an informed electorate: don't more than politics nerds watch American presidential debates?

@1 - Do people playing drinking games count? Does that restore your faith in Americans?
