One of These Men Will Be the Next State Auditor

Posted by on Fri, Sep 28, 2012 at 11:08 AM

The SECB is sitting down with James Watkins (R) and Troy Kelly (zzzzzzzzz), wading through the arcane responsibilities of the state auditor's office:

We've been talking about the riveting procedures for vetting companies that contract for small capital projects and the DNR's enthralling storm water regulations; next we'll be discussing the GMA's long-term impacts and evaluating the always-thrilling renewable energy standards of I-937. Whoever says we don't suffer for you guys... The SECB will announced its endorsements on October 17.

Dave Reichert is a longstanding Enemy of SLOG, and yet the SECB can never be bothered to to lift their eyes from their heavily occulated navels to say anything about that or many other races within the Stranger's physical distribution range.

It's almost like they think there are no bars in Kent.

I'll be interested to hear their thoughts on storm water runoff, I-937, and anything else. If you actually got them to talk about that instead of attacking Kelley, that would be amazing.

Given that I don't think either one of them is gay and neither have particularly ethnic sounding names (thus automatically being endorsed by the Stranger), it's going to be a real nail biter waiting to find out what other useless criteria the Stranger has for an endorsement no one cares about.

@3:

Awww, you're just generalizing from the example set by SRotU/Bailo.

Note: these are the guys who also audit the school districts. Seattle Schools has had multiple poor audits from Silas Potter to not properly reporting on Native American students and their needs to the feds.

It might be boring to you but very, very necessary to keep our public entities honest.

I am a Chelan County supporter of James Watkins. As a former University Business School Professor, I like to think that I understand the importance of these kind of performance audits. I find James to be a transparent and honest player on the political scene. The last thing that we need is to elect someone without the proper skills or dispositions. Bad habits are difficult to break and dishonesty is among the worst of those bad habits. Hopefully, the electorate will take this race seriously in terms of its potential implications. Want to read more on this subject try chuckslowe.com and search on Troy Kelley and / or James Watkins.
