Make A Note Of It

Posted by on Wed, Sep 26, 2012 at 4:42 PM

For your New York travel plans: MoMA will be open every day, and the Met's considering it. This is especially good news for travelers who go into the city for long weekends. Tuesdays have been dead days. Now can Chelsea open on Sundays? (Or has that already happened and I'm behind?)

One month ago it was mostly closed with about 15% of galleries open.

So, have they fixed the problem with trucks crashing into the tunnel entrance because of a GPS error yet?

And they're free, too!

(but if you can afford it, don't be a dick, give them a donation).

MoMA's not free. The Met, on the other hand, is a pay-what-you-wish but you gotta pay something. So, yeah, don't be a dick, give them more than 2 bits.

The Whitney, the New Museum, and PS1 are all closed two days a week.

Somebody please fix that.

Why!? Hours of operation for museums 3,000 miles away?! Isn't there some art going on around here?

@4,
MoMA's not free anymore? Damn, I guess it's been a while since I've been there.

I always gave the requested admission fee or more, but I did like that they really would let you in for free if you honestly couldn't pay.
