President Obama's Speech to the United Nations: What Do You Think?

Posted by on Tue, Sep 25, 2012 at 10:21 AM

Charles kind-of-not-really told you what he thought of it. This fellow on YouTube thinks it provides proof that President Obama is a sophisticated hologram. Here's video of the whole speech:

What do you make of it?

Obama's Alternate Universe

Around 10 years ago, I head a truly annoying female on my favorite progressive radio show** who was trying to "...increase awareness of the horrible genital mutilation of African women in certain regions of Africa."

Of course, every sane person agrees that such acts are monstrously obscene and barbaric; my problem was with the bearer of the message, a wealthy trust fund baby, and member of the Guggenheim family.

Since her surname wasn't Guggenheim, the show's host wasn't aware of who she was and therefore didn't realize that her family and ancestors (along with the Rockefellers, Mellons and, recently, the Gates Foundation) were responsible for the situation she was describing --- that her trust fund wealth derived from the financing of mercenary armies in the Congo and elsewhere to secure precious metals that both allowed for, and promoted, this horrible mutilation of African women.

This female was the cause, or at least part of the cause, of the situation she was publicly lamenting.

I was reminded of this the other day when I heard President Obama's bizarre speech in Wisconsin, where he was accursing Romney, quite correctly, of wishing to do those things the Obama administration was already guilty of, in other words, they both have the same agenda!

It would require many pages to critique Obama's entire speech, therefore I'll just address one sentence where Obama warns of "...health insurance companies writing healthcare reform."

Word up, people, Obama's health insurance reform was written by the health insurance industry, with Max Baucus in Big Pharma's pocket, and his advisor was Liz Fowler, former VP of health insurance giant, WellPoint who, the morning after the passage of that legislation, would be publicly thanked by Sen. Baucus for her help, and then she would immediately proceed to her new appointment at HHS to sign off on waivers to exempt insurance companies from said legislation.

Whether it was that Guggenheim family member warning of monstrous acts against African women --- which she bore responsibility for --- or President Obama warning us against Romney doing what the Obama administration is responsible for --- we should all be aware of the bizarre alternate universe we reside in, thanks to the global banking cartel.

Those bi-polar crazies who control so much money always want the rest of us to believe there are two choices, and only two choices, for every situation.

I have to admit the line:

...the strongest weapon against hateful speech is not repression; it is more speech

is quite extraordinary...it's really more the republican opinion on these things.

Kind of contrasts with some of the doctrinaire lambasting that goes on around Seattle.

I'm still waiting for the day when Charles straight up tells us what he's thinking, instead of dancing around it like it's some kind of game.

@2 Doctrinaire lambasting is "more speech".

Hey, does anybody know how to block those ads for something called sgt_doom? Is anybody else getting those? Long, rambling, off-topic nonsense in the midst of actual comments? If I'm the only one, my computer might have some kind of virus.

Thanks for reminding me the republicans still get something right. I fear it may change but, on the whole, not yet.

I don't find that a particularly republican stand but an american stand. You can, of course, disagree.

I think Pakistan's speech where they said we should have International Blasphemy laws was right on.

On behalf of all Pastafarians, I declare Pirate Jihad on all people who upload videos or cartoons of spaghetti and meatball dinners who are not of the Faithful!

It was a fine speech. Most of us remember 2001-2008 and having a president who mispronounced words and was more of a bad cartoon/marionette than a leader. The speech made me misty-eyed and very, very proud to be an American. And what a joy it is - especially after those years - to have a president who speaks on my behalf. Thanks, Mr. President.

I wonder if Obama and his crony bankster pals are going to start the next world war before or after the election?

I'm trying real hard not to imagine how the Republicans are going to apply their mendacious spin algorithm to what I feel was an outstanding speech. Their lies are always annoying, but I'm guessing they'll outdo themselves in eggregiousness on this one.

Frankly, I'm glad that those posts are as long as they are because wrapped comments take up little room and are easier to scroll past. I only use this for the four people who really push my buttons, and a handful of registered trolls (although they usually get booted before long).
