Koster: "If We Can Track Cattle with Chips, We Can Certainly Provide a Way for Citizens to Go Through a Process to Get Legal in This Country"

Posted by on Tue, Sep 25, 2012 at 9:40 AM

Of course, 1st Congressional District Republican candidate John Koster isn't really suggesting that we implant tracking chips in immigrants. Is he?

No he's suggesting they all be rounded up and put in fenced compounds and branded. It worked once before some where as I understand.

Ya'll have succeeded in making me laugh three separate times. But now that I actually think about it, I'm crying.

Yes, of course he's suggesting we are all cattle, for chrissakes, don't you remember Bush's HHS secretary, Tommy Thompson, former governor of that whackadoodle state, Wisconsin, now running for senator from whacky state, who worked in between as a lobbyist for a chip firm, trying to promote the idea of microchipping all Americans!!!!!!!

To be fair to Koster, it's possible he wants all citizens tagged with implanted chips, not just the immigrants. We can accuse him of being Orwellian, we don't have to go all Godwin. Mind you, the Godwin temptation is strong - he is basically suggesting people should have numbers tattooed on their arms - but beause it isn't clear he means just ethnic minorities, the Godwin parallels are not overwhelming.

Conservatives always want to segregate the rich, white, hetero, christian males from the "undesireables."

They want to rule over them without having to see, touch, or smell them.

Here's an idea: make it easier for people who are already in the country to get a green card.

We already have "a process to get legal in this country", but that process also opens up a path to citizenship which scares racist Republicans shitless.

@2 if we do send all the illegals to the moon, then I'm TOTALLY voting to make Newt Gingrich the mayor of the base he wants to open there. Irony, in space!
