Um, How About That Spontaneous Stage Dancing at the Genius Awards When Seattle Rock Orchestra Started Playing Michael Jackson?

That was the best. As Emily writes on Line Out, "A surprised security guard tried to stop it, but you can't really tackle someone wearing sequins and/or a bow-tie."

There were so many people up there. Here's a bunch of video set to Seattle Rock Orchestra's cover of "Thriller."

Camera by Daniel Desrosier, audio by Nick Thompson, editing by Andrew Jordan.

Wait. Was there a single non-white face in the crowd?

Indeed there was some one over 30, there was a non-white face, there was a beefy strong gal lifting another person over her head as strong women can do, there was a guy with flowers in his beard because he is secure in his beard-fashion-flower self, and I saw some well fed ladies up on stage. So it was a healthy real Seattle world mix.

Yes, quite a few - and not just the wait-staff, either...
