Three Women for Rob McKenna

Posted by on Fri, Sep 21, 2012 at 6:00 AM

His wife, and his two daughters. If you're wondering why this and another current McKenna ad put such an emphasis on McKenna and women, look no further than the 19-point lead Democrat Jay Inslee has opened up among women. Maybe filing suit against health care reform, being not-quite-pro-choice, and telling a young woman who asked him about reproductive rights to "get a job" wasn't such a great McKenna campaign strategy after all.

Still, this is better than McKenna's opening ad.

So where's his mom? Are you telling us even his mom doesn't suppport McKenna?

That syrupy tone and that smirky knowing smile when he says "It's the best thing in life." *shudder* He suffers from coming across just plain creepy.

His wife seems nice. Maybe she should run.

This is the adult equivalent of that kid who raged against Obama on YouTube. When you have to get your kids to stump for you, it means no one else will. Act of desperation...

Who edited that? I counted 17 cuts in 31 seconds. Almost like these three women couldn't go two seconds without rolling their eyes.

@4. Nice.

The frequency of cuts made me feel dizzy. They must really be saving money on not hiring professionals.

@1 As McKenna noted in the last debate, his mom died from breast cancer.

One of the few Republican acquaintances I have that I still talk to was quite smug about McKenna's chances for winning back in the spring and early summer. He's not so smug anymore. In fact, faced with the prospect of a Dem gov and a Dem prez- yet again - he's threatening to move out of the country. (I've offered to help.)

In an ad meant to humanize him, he seems to come off describing his marriage more like a business relationship.

Not sure who does his ads, but they either come off creepy or it looks like he is only targeting white males born before 1940.
