Romney's Redistribution Scam

Posted by on Fri, Sep 21, 2012 at 8:19 AM

The whole "redistribution of wealth" thing, which is Romney pressing the "Obama is a socialist" button (which is another way of saying "Obama's ideas are alien to America," which is ultimately saying: "Obama is a Kenyan") turns out to be, you guessed it, misleading:

Think there have to be technical issues that have to be dealt with as opposed to just political issues, how do we structure government systems that pool resources and hence facilitate some redistribution, because I actually believe in redistribution, at least at a certain level to make sure that everybody's got a shot. How do we pool resources at the same time as we decentralize delivery systems in ways that both foster competition, can work in the marketplace, and can foster innovation at the local level and can be tailored to particular communities.”
Romney purposely left out the capitalist, normal, American nonsense about markets.

Yeah, no, foster innovation, Mitt? No, no, the free market is what fosters innovation. Why does he want big government trying to jigger an already perfect mechanism? Does Romney even believe in America?

Paul Ryan said he and Rmoney want to create wealth. Yeah, like they created wealth with hedge funds. They want to create wealth for the already wealthy by scamming tax payers with phony get rich schemes and tax evasion. Oh, and more wars. Can't forget their beloved Military/Industrial complex.

Sorry to disagree Charles, but the ultimate message is "Obama is an uppity ni*gger".

Oh, and whatever happened to "deregulation" they loved so much? Remember how deregulation was the answer to every question? They avoid that word now. But it's what they're thinking.

yes, but. yes, but noting technical gotchas isn't how you win; you slam back five times harder. instead of pointing out mitt's selective quoting, omg he violated quation rules! any graduate student knows, that's dishonest! you slam him for TAKING FROM THE POOR TO GIVE TO HIMSELF a la the huge massive welfare he got every year to the tune or $2 million due to his special 15% lazy welfare unearned tax break on the capital gains Bain lobbied for; then you say "collectively, the one percent avoided umpty umpt bazillion in taxes that way, they still have that money, so we're going to fix that by surtaxing wealth of anyone in the capital gains class at x percent over y and surtaxning all incomes over z at x percent, too." "They took too much, and we will get it back, and it will go half to debt paydown and half to building things that rebuild america for middle class prosperity in the long term." he "purposely left out" part of the quote, boo hoo, my god, what a whining rejoinder. We need democrats who calculate how much the capital gains crowd got, then say "we're taking it back so you the middle class don't need to pay down that part of the national debt. They will." any condo association with finances like ours would impose a capital assessment, no? any family in this situation would go to better off son no.1 and get more to fix the roof. the money is there, we're just afraid to take it.

Romney's entire business career was about redistribution, redistribution from people who are actually producing something to those that are merely leeching off them that is, which would be Romney, his partners and other financial industry parasites.

"I know it's all bullshit, but I have to say these things to placate the yahoos.

Vote for me. Really, we'll party. Mitt."

Fortunately it looks like the media is seeing right through this one as well. Nothing to see here, move along.
