Homer Simpson Does His Civic Duty

Posted by on Fri, Sep 21, 2012 at 11:49 AM

Wouldn't it be nice if that was what actually happened when people pulled the lever for Romney? (And suicide jokes aren't funny, people. Except the one in this clip. It's actually pretty funny.)

Amusing, but what the hell is with the Treehouse of Horror being on October 7th?? I know there has to be a Sunday closer to Halloween than that. Every year they get further away from the actual date.

@1 - They're competing with sports. I think at this time of year it's the one with the ball.

Hey, at least they're showing the Halloween episode before Halloween. I've lowered my standards far enough to be satisfied with that.

The Simpsons have a gift for suicide jokes. A recent-ish episode had characters racing to "the suicide bridge!" which, when they arrived, was prominently marked with a plaque "In honor of the public service of Chester L. Suicide."

(Or something like that, I'm paraphrasing.)

@ 1, it beats when they wouldn't premier the season until AFTER Halloween.

I'm just glad that they're able to come up with something this funny after all these years. ALL the jokes and gags in this clip are good.

Let's just all agree that nothing is funny.

@6 I know. Suicide jokes are so offensive, they make me want to jump off a building.

So, is this enough for Fox to cancel The Simpsons?

I'll bet some suits are talking about it.

I thought all cartoons were outsourced to South Korea.

The Simpsons is Rupert Murdoch's favorite TV show. It'll be around as long as he is.

That clip had more laughs in it than any of the episodes of the Simpsons I've seen in the past 8 years.

The worst part is that suicide nets are real...
