Cops Make Arrest in Yancy Noll Murder

Posted by on Fri, Sep 21, 2012 at 1:31 PM

SPD Blotter:

Homicide detectives have arrested the man suspected of gunning down Yancy Noll at a north Seattle intersection last month. Acting on a tip, SWAT and homicide detectives served a warrant at a home in north Seattle early Friday morning—less than a mile from where Noll was shot and killed—and arrested a 30 year old suspect in the shooting.

If this suspect is proven guilty I hope he is put down like an out of control pit bull.

Any info on where the arrest was made, specifically? I live within that radius.

Too bad Yancy didn't have a CCP and a small 9mm. At least he could have gotten a shot off at the guy.

Self defense is always noble.

Hey Gun Nut Troll:
Remember when Maurice Clemens shot four Lakewood police officers? Each officer was armed with a service weapon AND a taser, and each officer was well=trained - far better than the average boob gun nut.

Remember how that turned out? None of the officers got a shot off at all. Not one.

Remember that, Gun Nut? Care to comment, Gun Nut?

@5: who wounded him in the gut?

@5, you're wasting your time. Facts mean nothing to gun fetish morons.

Thomasdinh Bowman is in jail on investigation of homicide: His address is 74xx 25th Ave NE. A woman sharing his last name also lives there: he must be very clever to escape her suspicion unless she was the one who tipped the Seattle Police...

@7: incorrect facts shouldn't matter to anyone. Officer Greg Richards shot the suspect in the gut before being killed.

Kudos SPD for giving me the pleasure of reading this much-awaited headline. May this be the guy & a speedy trial to him.

This should have been in his car. If he was being chased by
A psycho with road rage, he may have been able to scare the prick off or at least wounded the prick before he died. Sad that the gunphobia in this town leaves so many without self protection. Exercise your second ammendment! It's at least as important as your first, fourth and fifth. When seconds count the police are only minutes away. http://www.gumcreekcustoms.com/subaru-ph…

I've been so interested in this case. 75th NE between 25th and Roosevelt is a street I drive nearly every workday. About a year ago, during the evening commute (it was November so it was dark and rainy) 75th was down to one lane due to construction and some nut in a dark SUV was FURIOUS and honking nonstop, driving to within about an inch of the cars in front of him, ducking illegally around cars and I was even afraid he was going to ram someone on purpose. I actually called 9-1-1 when I got home to report the vehicle; he scared me so much. Have wondered if there was a connection to this current case.

Do a little more Google Fu, and you'll find out he's a competitive shooter. He placed first in a 11/13/11 Turkey Shoot at the Paul Bunyan Gun Club. The only video he posted on his "dinhjenn" Flickr account is chilling in retrospect.

That won't help him in court.

I found the Flickr video that #17 is referring to. Man, that is creepy. I'm never going to flip anyone off in traffic ever again.

Changed his name from Thomasdinh to Dinh in 2007. Used his parents (asian mom) address in Des Moines on the district court form. Hmmm. Wonder why. He had bought the house on 25th in 2003. There is a dentist with the exact same name (1st, middle, last) as the wife whom he married in 2008 (nee Palm). Poor thing. Amerasian kid thinks the world owes him and he's untouchable. Oooops, big mistake!!

Keister Button, the person who lives @ his address with his last name is his WIFE. In fact, all signs suggest that she helped him try to evade getting busted and should be charged with aiding and abetting a fugitive/criminal assistance which is a felony under the Washington State Criminal Code. It was the Portland auto repair shop that got suspicious seeing his car with bullet holes and WA plates(not to mention being registered at his home address) so they assumed correctly that he was on the run from the law.

Man, if he doesn't get put to death like he should be, I hope he gets life w/out parole AND.........One night during the first week in prison, he'sb jumped by his cellies who knock him to the ground, pin him face down, and yank his panties down to his ankles and expand his anus. Nighttime = RAPETIME in the slammer! ^_^

I still don't understand why it took so long for the SPD to find him. They had the make, model, and color of the car, and the guy lived less than a mile away from the shooting... There aren't that many silver Z4's in the Roosevelt/Ravenna/Wedgwood area. Did the guy have out-of-state plates or something? Seems like this would have been the first stop.
