National Republicans Throw Another $1.2 Million to McKenna

Brace for a partisan firehose of a pissing match this November—and that's not even counting the presidential race. The Republican Governor's Association, a national PAC that promotes its candidates in state races, has injected another $1.2 million dollars into Washington as part of its effort to smother a rising bid from a Democrat. The latest lump of dough brings RGA's commitment up to $5.2 million to help Republican Rob McKenna defeat Democrat Jay Inslee, according to records from the Washington State Public Disclosure Commission, while a pro-Inslee PAC called Our Washington now reports $4.4 million.

Neither independent PAC has as much as the candidate themselves (McKenna and Inslee have each raised nearly $8.6 million), and among all parties about half of it has been spent. The latest poll shows Inslee leading McKenna by five points, up from only a one-point lead in July. Only 7 percent of voters told SurveyUSA they were still undecided, but maybe they'll make up their minds after getting blasted with another $10 million in ads.

I’m not surprised .. Clinton is here tomorrow for Inslee and well, the Reps don’t have anyone with nearly that awesome to stand up for McKenna .. actually they don’t have anyone nearly that awesome in general.

There should definitely be some concern when there's not enough space in the box for all the digits you're donating.

@2 Well clearly the form was created before we realized that Money = Speech. The new form will correctly title the column 'Amount (In Millions)' to make things smoother.
