Gulls will eat anything they can get their beaks around. It would be a blood bath. They'd shoot you just to get the mints in your purse.

I'm with Anna, only I'd say gulls are more like hockey players than surfers. Ever watch them fighting over a scavenged bun? I call it "bun hockey", except the winner is whoever manages to swallow the puck.

I have often watched in horror as seagulls mercilessly hunt down torture, kill, and eat other seagull's chicks, their fellow wounded or maimed seagulls, and any bird or animal smaller than them.

I have rarely seen surfers do this. Rarely.
