Oh, I don't know man. I see where this video is coming from, but it's a little too much, though.

Much funnier than the tame stuff you see on SNL!

@3 It is not! I just don't like seeing the rape simulation, the punches and stuff. It seems a little too realistic. They should have made it more abstract or preposterous.

@6 - It's not a joke, though, when you get down to it. It's the Republicans who try to trivialize rape. The dark humor here is in pointing that out and reminding us that rape is far more horrific than the Republicans would have you believe. When they try to refer to rape as an "abstract" concept or just another form of conception, it's a lot easier for them to distance themselves from the horror and take away rights.

Rape is shitty, and to make it a jokey, preposterous pantomime would undermine the whole point.

Yeah, but this video could still use a trigger warning. The content is pretty upsetting, and those who have actually experienced sexual assault aren't the intended audience.

It's not that republicans are trivializing rape, as MacCroc suggested @7, it's that conservatives don't believe it IS rape unless it's some stranger (typically a black unemployed man or an illegal mexican immigrant) smashing in a door and forcing themselves on a woman.

If it's a woman getting drugged, or raped by a date, then in conservative's beliefs... she wasn't raped, she made bad choices and allowed herself to be raped. Or she's just a slut.

That's why they don't support abortion in those latter rape cases... because they don't think she WAS raped. They just think she makes bad decisions. And they don't want to let her get away with it. They want to punish her. They want her to wear a scarlet letter in the form of a baby, so she'll always remember the bad choices she made. They want her... no, they NEED her to keep her rape-baby because then they can look down on and act holier-than-thou towards her.

It's sick.
