2012 GOP on a Roll: Obama Is Black Like Felix the Cat

Vanity Fair:

President Barack Obama reminds me of Felix the Cat. One of the best-loved cartoon characters of the 1920s, Felix was not only black. He was also very, very lucky. And that pretty much sums up the 44th president of the US as he takes a well-earned summer break after just over six months in the world’s biggest and toughest job.
This appeared in the Financial Times. The thinking is coming to this conclusion: no one edits Niall Ferguson's work.

Back in the eighties, my skatepunk friend had a Felix "bombcat" skateboard. It was dope.

It's a Vanity Fair comment on a racist editorial from the Financial Times. Until I clicked through, I was worried Vanity Fair had published that. Good grief.

Felix the cat was an update on little black sambo, done by the same guy. It is the same joke (luck ruling the day), but Felix is a um... cat.
