Hooray for procrastinators! We've been monitoring what looked to be low voter turnout in King County—and likely around the state—but today brings news that King County Elections has received, according to spokesperson Barbara Ramey, about 62,000 ballots in this morning's mail. (Compared to 34,000 in Monday monring's mail and 23,000 in Saturday morning's mail.)

That brings the total number of returned King County ballots to around 270,000. If the trend holds, we should have a respectable primary turnout of somewhere above 300,000 votes. (Out of, ahem, 1,112,265 possible voters.)
