Amazon Tries Being Generous: Offers tuition package for low-wage employees, paying 95 percent of tuition up to $2,000 a year, for full-time employees with three or more years' tenure, "only in areas that are well-paying and in high demand according to sources like the US Bureau of Labor Statistics," according to Jeff Bezos. It does not appear to be as generous as what local delicious hamburger stand Dick's Drive-In offers its employees. Nice try, though, Jeff!

The North Seattle standoff, which included bulletproof shields, started "after a report of gunshots that turned out to be a fight between siblings that didn't involve weapons." The brother and sister are 40 and 33 years old, respectively.
