SPD Looking for Evidence of Genius?

Posted by on Mon, Jul 23, 2012 at 4:15 PM

Over on Flog—no relation—Fantagraphics Associate Publisher Eric Reynolds writes that he was at Pike Place Market yesterday when he happened to notice what appears to be a mint, bagged copy of the first issue of Ellen Forney's Tomato series sitting in the back seat of a police cruiser. Forney, of course, is on the shortlist for this year's Literature Genius Award. Maybe the SPD are trying to determine who the winner is going to be. Ellen Forney? Ed Skoog? Kary Wayson?

Hate to break it to you, SPD, but detective work isn't going to get to the bottom of this one. The fastest way to learn who the winners of this year's Genius Awards are is to attend the Genius Awards party at the Moore Theatre on Saturday, September 22nd. Tickets are on sale now.
