A heavily armed gunman attacked an Aurora, Colorado, movie theater early Friday, tossing tear gas before opening fire on the terrified audience and killing 12 and wounding 38, authorities said. The theater was showing the new Batman movie, "The Dark Knight Rises."If the suspect is indeed 24, white, and male, we can expect increased surveillance of young white males at theaters and other public venues. We can also expect the American public to make gun control a central issue in the current election season.
