Posted by on Thu, Jul 19, 2012 at 4:51 PM

NYT:

Mark Penn, the chief pollster and senior strategist for Hillary Rodham Clinton‘s 2008 presidential campaign, is leaving his longtime public relations post to work at Microsoft, helping to shape its brand image.

He's not moving out here, but will be visiting us "frequently."

Penn got lucky ONCE. He was on the Big Dogs team in '92. Every campaign he has been involved with since has been a disaster & he has demonstrated a level of political tone deafness and incompetence that is truly stunning. I'm shorting Microsoft. If Penn brings his unique skills to them in the ways he has to politics they are screwed

Mark Penn's continued employment is proof we do not live in a meritocracy.
