Early in the morning of July 5, a man was walking toward his car in an unsecured parking garage on Capitol Hill when he saw the passenger door open. A white male, who the owner of the car had never seen before, got out and approached the owner. The unknown man "did not say anything," a police report continues, and just hit the owner in the head with a "wooden baseball bat with spikes in it."

At this point, the victim went unconscious, and "remembers waking up on the ground," Officer Walter notes. Nothing was taken from the victim or his car. Officer Walter says she four puncture marks and bleeding from the side and back of the victim's head. The victim was transported to Harborview after giving a description of the alleged assailant.
