The Banker and the Boat

Posted by on Mon, Jul 9, 2012 at 9:14 AM

17 million dollars is missing. The banker is missing.

Federal investigators, including the FBI, believe Price, who owns property in Venezuela and Guatemala, may be on the run. FBI Special Agent Michael Howard said in the complaint that investigators believe Price "may own a boat that would be large enough to travel to Venezuela from Florida."
Yes, the banker's name is Price. Yes, a boat in Florida. Yes, how did you guess? I exactly see it like the opening 46 seconds of this rocking video:

Is it really possible to do this any more given the near universal use of electronic money? I have written essays noting that for the last decade thriller movies about kidnappings, heists, are reduced to the plot device of "bearer bonds" as the only way to anonymously transport large amounts of cash and those were outlawed recently. One mojito purchased on a VISA card and it's over.

Read the Youtube comments on that video (or don't). It's all Israel and Neocons and Obama etc. WTF? Is there any Youtube video with comments that don't turn into a political debate between clueless idiots?

@5 Nope. I used a browser add-on to hide them at home and just don't visit when I'm at work. YouTube comments are insanity.
