1.) Here's the newest official Obama campaign ad. It directly attacks Mitt Romney as an outsourcer and promotes President Obama as an "insourcer," and reminds viewers that Obama is the guy who saved GM:

It's a pretty effective ad, but it leaves a vulnerability wide open: Republicans could easily refute this ad by pointing to unemployment numbers, which most Americans see as weak. So much for "insourcing."

2.) Now this ad is decidedly not from the Obama campaign. It's from the Save Our Environment Action Fund, and it'll be airing in swing states. It ties President Obama's calls to increase gas mileage together with Mitt Romney's roof-riding dog, Seamus, and it's pretty mean:

These two ads are the poles on the spectrum of negative ads right now. (They're sure to get meaner between now and November.) And I'm curious about whether you think they're effective or not.
