The Morning News

Posted by on Thu, Jun 28, 2012 at 6:00 AM

The U.S. Supreme Court will rule on Obamacare this morning: Probably at around 7 a.m. PST.

If they're a little late, give them a break: They're old.

The different types of rulings that there could be: Here's that handy choose-your-own-adventure again.

A summary of the issues at play: You're very welcome.

Why you should start by reading the dissents: According to Linda Greenhouse.

Why Scalia should resign: By E.J. Dionne Jr.

Why Obama's legacy is at stake: And how this fight has been going on for 100 years.

What Romney doesn't want: "Celebrations that could alienate voters who could lose health care benefits through the decision."

Super Guppy en route: Arriving Saturday.

And another reason the west coast is better: Recycling! Says the New York Times:

Pioneers like Portland, Seattle and San Francisco have become so good at waste diversion that it is becoming harder to get much better.

Americans are such saps. The corporations run the SCOTUS. Clarence Thomas is on the Koch brothers payroll for crissakes. And Scalia channels Mussolini. Roberts is a goddamn rattle snake. There is no hope for millions who will be outright murdered by their decision.

FDR should have pushed (as he WAS advised to do) to make universal health care part of the Social Security Act. But even FDR couldn't take on the medical industry back in the 30's.

Though the great irony of all of this comes down to this tidbit. "Obamacare" in pretty much what Bob Dole ran on in 1996 AND what The Heritage Foundation (yeah, THAT Heritage Foundation) suggested to do back in the 1990's. Ironic that the GOP is shitting themselves about the reforms.

Do you mean 7 am PDT? Because 7 am PST was 33 minutes ago. (Yeah, I'm going to be that guy.)

The douche, Chris Baldwin, in the NYT article who refuses to recycle at Dick's because he doesn't like being told what to do? Just became Seattle Public Enemy #1.

Scalia resign? But he's another University of Chicago shyster, like his buddy and the guy he once gave a reference for, President Barack Obama???

CLOUD COMPUTING? Or ultra-monopoly, 21st century style?

A pattern has been noticed lately among small business people who relay upon Amazon.com to sell their products online.

When they offer a product which begins to sell well, Amazon will then offer the same item, although usually at a slightly lower cost.

It's called Business Intelligence to the max! The ultimate path to monopoly in the 21st century.

Not to only draw attention to Amazon (although there's nothing wrong with that!), they aren't the only perpetrators, simply the most obvious!

That's what the negative synergy of cloud computing, and social networking offers: the combination of supreme business intelligence, ease of marketing and more subtle forms of unconscious attitude manipulation.

It ain't called censorhip when you try to access a site --- perhaps a small competitor's site --- and it's blocked with a 404 screen --- you'll just think that it is down or gone bye-bye!

Thanks to the stalwart and intrepid folks at the EFF, we now know that for all intents and purposes real network neutrality is over.

Welcome to the 21st century, where once again AT&T is a monopoly in reality, not simply just behind the scenes!
