Pig time.
  • Ryan Hawk/Woodland Park Zoo
  • Pig time.

It is a new season at Woodland Park Zoo, and I have just learned that it is the summer of the pig. This is a kunekune pig. There are also warty pigs. WARTY PIGS. Like warthogs, but piggy. They don't look as good as this. Except in my mind (and in name).

@6, I'd have a talented butcher kill it. And then I would have some really nice pork loin chops and..hmmmm a good pork roast sounds really good and the weather is still cool enough to cook one up!

@ 4 FTW!

Why, oh why, oh why did I ever have to taste bacon? Why must piggies be so smart AND so delicious?? IT IS NOT FAIR DAMMIT.

(Also, that is one extremely cute l'il porker...)

Honestly. I love eating pig. Ribs, Kalua, barbecued jowls, roast, bacon, sausage. I
tend to think I draw the line at chitlins,
but red pepper chitlin stew is pretty damn awesome.

So here's the query. What restaurant in Seaburg serves the best damn chitlins? Tom Douglas,
can you satisfy my red pepper chitlin cravings?
