The owner of a 2009 Darryl Ary painting—you know Darryl—emailed a few minutes ago to say he has deposited his painting at a semi-disclosed location in a hide-and-seek game for a willing art collector. He's advertised it on Craigslist, with relatively easy instructions for how to find it.

Why is he getting rid of it? "I have to part with it and I'd feel bad selling it, so this seems like a much better way for someone else to own it if they are willing to look," he writes. (He'd rather remain anonymous.)

It's out there, between a yellow building and a yellow fire hydrant, just waiting.

More on Darryl in a trailer for a recent film on him here.

This is not the painting thats waiting out there for you. (That one isnt described by its owner.) This is another Darryl painting, called Finding the Island.
