Currently Hanging: The Art Water of Sandra Cinto

Posted by on Tue, Jun 19, 2012 at 9:04 AM

Have you seen this installation inside the Olympic Sculpture Park's pavilion? It is extremely likable, and watching this video makes it more so. The boat is the only problem, drawing you out of the wall, where you would much prefer to remain, in the atmosphere of those endlessly echoing lines. The reference to Gericault and politics is drowned in this silvery blue pleasure sea.

I wonder if the scale of the boat was larger, would it integrate with the wall better? Looks awesome, look forward to checking it out.

I work next door, so it's a pleasure to get to take my lunch breaks here. Simply beautiful!
