Short Film Fridays

Posted by on Fri, Jun 15, 2012 at 4:22 PM

This week's short is "Eros," a pure piece of cinema by Megan Griffiths, the director of Eden (a film that rightly received a bunch of awards at SIFF 2012), and also one of the three nominees for this year's Stranger’s Genius Award in film. “Eros” has Sean Nelson as its star, Lacey Leavitt as its co-writer, Ben Kasulke as its photographer, and Lynn Shelton as its editor.

By the way, what opens today is Shelton’s new movie Your Sister's Sister. This comedy contains some of Kasulke's best work and a story that's masterfully handled, as it negotiates a social consciousness that’s somewhere between Hotel Rwanda and Revenge of the Nerds.
