Rural America: Missing the City

This is almost beautiful...


But it has no people in it. A city is not buildings; a city is people. A forest filled with people (such as Matthew Stadler describes in Where We Live Now: an annotated reader) is much more of a city than what we see in the video—buildings, incomplete buildings, crumbling buildings.
