According to Mitt Romney, medical marijuana is not an issue of "significance," and he snaps at a Colorado TV reporter for not sticking to the Romney campaign script on jobs and the economy. Once his little rich-boy tantrum is over, he says that marijuana should be illegal, in part because it is a "gateway drug." The exchange comes at about 2 minutes into the video.

At the end of the video when he lets his guard down, Romney calls gay marriage and medical marijuana state's rights issues, which is probably not what his Republican base wants to hear. And it's not what Romney's been saying, either: He signed NOM's pledge calling for "a federal constitutional amendment defining marriage as the union of one man and one woman." So did Romney lie to the reporter, or is he lying to NOM? If I were a member of the Christian right, I'd be very worried about Mitt Romney's convictions right now.
