So i can drive my car now?

Cause it is a weapon, much more than any of the "banned" items ever will be.

Half the cars on the road have no insurance and many are driven by people without licenses.

Way to issue that order HOURS after most of the damage was done. Day late, dollar short, enjoy being a one term mayor.

Well, at least the Mayor only violated the Constitution for a few hours.

Sort of like a cornier, douchier Baader-Meinhoff gang for this generation. How precious.

@2 - I doubt this issue will hurt McGinn much. It's hard to picture a Republican challenger making much hay over taking sticks and tire irons away from vandals. Hell, I bet if you did a poll, most people would support it.

@3, @7

Before we start celebrating your win, we'd like to have some sort of citation of "Constitution" and "Law" and "Precedent."

Please get back to us as soon as you can after you've looked up all of that boring crap on "Wikipedia."
