Jeezus, Senator Rubio, put a SPOILER ALERT up if you're going to give away key plot details:

"If I do a good job as a vice president —I'm sorry as Senator—I'll have the chance to do all sorts of things," the rising Republican star told the National Journal during a Newseum forum.

Rubio is a likely vice presidential choice, especially considering President Obama's very good showings in Florida polls. (Polls currently show a Rubio VP pick not helping Romney's numbers at all in Florida, but I'm sure the Romney team can dismiss that poll as some kind of a fluke.) The biggest strike against Rubio right now as far as Romney's overcautious team is concerned is probably his weird Mormon past.
