The Nuge Shoots His Mouth Off One Too Many Times

Posted by on Tue, Apr 17, 2012 at 11:48 AM

Newsflash: Mitt Romney surrogate Ted Nugent is a total fucking idiot:

Rocker Ted Nugent has reportedly earned himself the scrutiny of the Secret Service after saying over the weekend that he would be "dead or in jail by this time next year" if President Barack Obama is re-elected.

Mitt Romney should be held accountable for allowing this notable douchebag to campaign for him. Read Nugent's disgusting opinions on apartheid and tell me if this guy should be standing up for any presidential candidate. Hell, Romney actively courted Nugent's endorsement. Can we please take a page from that whole War on Moms debacle last week and refer to Nugent as a "Romney adviser," please?

So hyperbole is illegal by vote of the court of the media?

Better round up oberman and maddow while your at it.

The Nuge clearly doesn't give a sh*t what anyone thinks of him, and is a rabid practicing libertarian. If you take a second to remember that, and not take him as the oracle of moderation and sociatial norms, you can remember that "its just like his opinion man..."

The no reservations interview with him by Anthony Bourdain ( a flaming liberal himself ) was eye opening. He still didn't like the nuge, but he at least respected him.

Taking people who don't agree with you and casting them as evil is a republican ploy, and is unhelpful to say the least.

Nugent pretty explicitly threatened to kill Obama a few years ago. Where was the Secret Service then?

The Nuge dead or in jail? I'd be ok with either option.

"SUCK ON MY MACHINE GUN", he yelled, referring to Obama by name, while waving one around. That's against the law, but nothing ever came of it. If it had been a lefty saying the same thing about Bush, he'd be in Gitmo. It doesn't matter if everybody knows you're a fatuous blowhard, it's still incitement.

Getting upset about the dumb stuff the Nuge says is ALMOST as stupid as defending the Nuge.

This is a good example of what promises to be a central Republican dilemma in the coming months: How to strike the right balance between embracing the obnoxious crazy wing of the party and maintaining a safe enough distance to woo moderate swing voters. I expect Romney, if he addresses it at all, to instruct one of his proxies to issue some kind of "I disagree with his wording" statement like he did with Rush Limbaugh.

"Getting upset about the dumb stuff the Nuge says is ALMOST as stupid as defending the Nuge."

Yup.
So Nugent wants to be as important as Obama. It's nice to dream.
If Nugent cannot be as important as Obama, Nugent can tell his fans that Obama is going to attack Nugent.
After all, if you have important enemies then you must be an important person. Right?
Right?

If the POTUS is your personal enemy that makes you as important as the POTUS. Right?
Right?

Maybe people who don't like Obama will buy more of my albums now.

The really annoying thing about the Nuge's hard-on for Obama is that gun control has been Priority #198,972 for this administration. The Democratic party realized years ago that this is a losing issue anywhere but at the local level: if you're a gun-owner and you live in a gun-friendly state, precisely fuck all has changed for you in the last four years and fuck all is what will continue to change for you during a hypothetical second Obama administration.

BUT OH NOES THEY'RE COMING FOR MY GUNSSZZ. Pathetic.

It really concerns me that people care what Ted Nugent has to say about anything. Have we really come to this, America? He's only famous because he wrote a couple terrible songs in the 70s and has been able to maintain public interest because his mentally illness strikes the right balance between "entertaining" and "menace to public safety." His opinions about everything should be disqualified based on "Wang Dang Sweet Poontang" alone.

In fairness, 'his mental illness strikes the right balance between "entertaining" and "menace to public safety' is pretty much ipso facto qualification to star in your own reality TV series.

@8 you can also be arrested for criticizing an ex-VP.

"told him that his "policies in Iraq are disgusting," touched Cheney on the shoulder and then walked away."

Oh, the Nuge. As irrelevant as ever.

I don't get it. Obama never even mentions guns. Much to the chagrin of the left. This fact doen't prevent the right from constantly deluging it's supporters with easily disprovable lies about how, any day now, "Obamaz thugz iz gonna come get ur gunz!"

@22

He doesn't talk about it because if he did, it'd tip people off about what he's planning. But we know better, because the only bigger indication that they're gonna get your guns than telling you they're gonna get your guns is to not tell you they're gonna get your guns before they get your guns. Well, that and telling you they're not gonna get your guns, but just talking about getting guns in the first place is a flat-out admission guns will be got.

BTW. If The Nuge is such a tough guy why'd he dodge the draft with a bogus 1-Y deferment. And then there is of course the classy incident where when he was 30 (and still married) he got himself appointed legal guardian of a seventeen year old so he bang her "legally." Not to mention the numerous underage chicks he used to brag about banging. Even, supposedly, Courtney Love. When she was like 12.

So basically RMoney is taking advice from a draft dodging pedophile who is under investigation by the Secret Service.

Not to mention he hunts chicken-shit "canned" hunts. IE: trapped and enclosed animals on high fence ranches. Outdoorsman my ass.

Ted Nugent is a chickenhawk. Pity the term doesn't get more mileage nowadays. I've never seen so many chickenhawks operating in unison, virtually without a bit of self-cognizance.

Ted Nugent is nothing more than a tough-talking, draft-dodging pussy. And his music sucks, too.

Those are just about the two most important things that anyone can say about him.

And I wouldn’t worry about his threats; if he was too chickenshit to go to ‘Nam, he’s too chickenshit to risk his life following through on a threat. The guy’s too big a pussy to even hunt properly.
