Ron Sworschach

Posted by on Thu, Apr 12, 2012 at 8:08 AM

I've long believed that Parks and Recreation's Ron Swanson is the best sitcom character to hit TV screens since the 1980s*. This Tumblr answers the essential question: What if you combined Ron Swanson with that other great libertarian icon, Rorschach from Watchmen? The resulting blog is magical.

* Speaking of which, this interview with Parks and Recreation showrunner Michael Shur about Cheers from last September is the best thing I've ever read about sitcom writing. I absolutely recommend it.

This looks a bit derivative of Ron [Paul] Swanson.

Will say, I love Ron Swanson. Greatest sitcom character since... maybe forever. Even bought a Ron Swanson bobblehead doll and a poster of the Ron Swanson Pyramid of Greatness, which I proceeded to bequeath to a libertarian colleague (who didn't quite see the humor).
