Yesterday afternoon, hundreds of protesters, many in hoodies, marched through Seattle to demonstrate against the shooting death of Florida teenager Trayvon Martin, who was shot because, if you ask Geraldo Revera, he was wearing a hoodie. And, further, he was black.

Here at Seattle's protest, our beloved Seattle Police Department Detective Cookie was photographed protesting in a hoodie and holding a bag of Skittles (Trayvon was carrying Skittles when he was killed). Seattlepi.com has a photo gallery, including the photo of Detective Cookie and the crowds on Seattle streets. There's another galley on Facebook over here.

As today's news unfolds, it turns out that he "was suspended from school because he was caught with an empty plastic bag with traces of marijuana in it, the boy’s family attorney has confirmed. Trayvon was killed while serving out the suspension." Thousands of protesters are heading to Sanford today calling for shooter, George Zimmerman, to be prosecuted.

Note: The Stranger wasn't there covering this event, because I fucked up. I apologize and am kicking myself for the error.
