Watch out, residents of that brick building at Broadway and John: The tunnel machine's coming today:

For the last 1 ½ years, Franklin Tseng has worried that shifting soils from Sound Transit's tunneling project would crack his brick apartment building atop Capitol Hill.

Finally, the day of judgment has arrived.

Who's the real dictator in Syria? "I am the real dictator," says the president's wife.

Bin Laden's papers: The Washington Post pages through them.

In praise of Obamacare: Or "ObamaRomneycare," as Paul Krugman calls it.

Mitt Romney wins Puerto Rico: No surprise, now onward to Illinois.

Scott Brown makes a funny: "I see that both Newt Gingrich and Rick Santorum now have Secret Service with them on the campaign trail,” Brown said. “And in Santorum’s case, I think it’s the first time he’s actually ever used protection.”

David Carr on Mike Daisey: "Is it O.K. to lie on the way to telling a greater truth? The short answer is also the right one. No."

Washington's high school graduation rate: Up ever so slightly.

Washington's corruption risk: Ever so low.

Washington's risk of Richard B. Sanders running again: 100 percent.

And if you have 30 minutes and want to hear what the hawkiest of Iran war hawks think about Obama and Israel, here you go:

Thanks for linking to that great David Carr piece. He got a quote from Jayson Blair - epic.

And as for "residents of that brick building at Broadway and John", you need to be sure Frizzelle and Rysdyke get out of their apartment for the day - your paper can't afford to lose its editor and fashion columnist in one fell swoop. Get Michael Malone to put them up at the Sorrento for the night - lord knows the paper gives his property enough free publicity with the Reading Party series.

Romney correct:

The basics, some extras, savings: You need $150,000 a year

According to this year's "How America Shops" survey, it now takes an income of more than $150,000 to be able to afford the basics, some extras and to save, too.

As for the once-coveted 18- to 34-year-old market, it is now the demographic struggling the most when it comes to buying power.

@8 my family used to live on $500 a year. For the whole family. Half of that was for ammunition and seeds.
