Sarah Palin Is Perfectly Willing to Be the Republican Candidate, If You Need Her

Posted by on Wed, Feb 15, 2012 at 4:15 PM

The Page has highlighted an interesting conversation between Sarah Palin and a Fox Business Network reporter about the possibility of a brokered Republican convention:

BOLLING: Governor, a lot of people are saying it can't happen. I don't necessarily agree with them. If one of the nominees, one of the GOPers, doesn't get enough delegates, it could go the a brokered convention. If it does get to that and someone said, Governor, would you be interested, would you be interested?

PALIN: Well, for one, I think that it could get to that. And I — you know, if it had to — if it had to be kind of closed up today, the whole nominating process, then we would be looking at a brokered convention.
I mean nobody is quite there yet. So I think that months from now, if that's the case, then, you know, all bets are off as to who it will be willing to offer themselves up in the name of service to their country. I would — I would do whatever I could to help.

BOLLING: That's — that's fantastic.

God, yes, that is fantastic. A teabagger-crazed brokered convention naming Sarah Palin as the candidate is a progressive's wet dream. As long as the Fantastic Four keep fighting across the country, that dream lives on. Let us pledge to do anything we can do to help Sarah Palin achieve her dream.

At this point does it really matter who get's the nomination? They have all proven themselves to be useless and highly entertaining. Each candidate provides their own flavor of insanity. There should be a SLOG poll. Who do we want to win as they will amuse us the most!

While this would indeed be a thrilling experience, I don't think it would be QUITE enough to completely destroy the Republican Party, so I'm still going to be rooting for Romney, because I think he can still be beaten, and if Romney is beaten the kook wing (i.e., 75%) of the Republicans will blame moderation, and become even kookier in turn, meaning implosion will be delayed until they get 15% of the vote in 2016.

What craven vain little swine Palin is. She quits her only real gig as governor for reality TV. Bilks people out of millions pretending to think about a presidential bid and quits AGAIN because she doesn't have the balls to work through the primary season head to head with other candidates.

But, gosh, if they "choose" her at "brokered" convention, then golly, yes, she'd be happy to throw her party under the bus and run. Because she wouldn't have to do any work or even pretend she knows a god damned thing.

Sweet baby jebus, no, please no. I don't care if it guarantees Obama a 2nd term, I can't stand for that vile creature to be back in the media 24/7 again (and for a long time after her defeat). Please just let her continue to rot on that nutjob ideological back burner.

Meanwhile, over at Daily Kos they're urging people to vote for Santorum in upcoming primaries and caucuses:

I don't understand America's preoccupation with nominating for POTUS months-long material for international comedy shows.

She would deserve to be called "Governor" only if she completed her term or died in office. Instead, she kicked over the traces to follow Mammon. It's "Ms. Palin" at best.

What a bunch of lunatics. I hope they drive each other off a cliff for the next three decades.

Every time I've thought that the Republican process couldn't possibly get any more crazy, it has somehow managed to do just that. Ergo,we are destined to see Palin get the nomination at a brokered convention.

Immediately following this interview, someone explained to Sarah what "brokered convention" meant.

@14, you mean like when Todd's Jimmy was brokered out on the Al-Can that one time? He had to tow that sucker all the way back to Fairbanks. Brokered means "won't go", right? Or does the liberal mainstream media mean somethin' diffrint?

Just to clarify, a 'brokered' convention is not what we might see -- it would be a 'deadlocked' (or maybe 'contested') convention:

Buuuuut... that's probably not going to happen.
http://plainblogaboutpolitics.blogspot.c…

But man, Sarah Palin and the Teabaggers launching a full-scale rebellion at the convention? That would be awesome.
