"What Is Truth?" by Republican Representative Jason Overstreet

Posted by on Fri, Feb 10, 2012 at 2:36 PM

God is truth, and the Washington State Constitution mentions a "Supreme Ruler of the Universe," and truth is universal, THEREFORE the Washington State Legislature cannot weigh in on marriage, which is eternally between a man and a woman, and that is the truth, according to this guy.

Rep. Overstreet's contact info.

And the Supreme Ruler of the Universe could not POSSIBLY Zeus, who abducted the pretty Ganymede to *ahem* bear his cup. Nor could it be the Flying Spaghetti Monster, who is pretty laid-back about the whole same-sex marriage controversy.

John 18:36-38

36 Jesus said, “My kingdom is not of this world. If it were, my servants would fight to prevent my arrest by the Jewish leaders. But now my kingdom is from another place.”

37 “You are a king, then!” said Pilate.

Jesus answered, “You say that I am a king. In fact, the reason I was born and came into the world is to testify to the truth. Everyone on the side of truth listens to me.”

38 “What is truth?” retorted Pilate. With this he went out again to the Jews gathered there and said, “I find no basis for a charge against him.

"just to say it's so doesn't make it so"

Does he even listen to himself?

He can recycle that same generic pompous spiel for future bills as he didn’t even mention marriage.

I thought the Washington State Supreme Court already ruled that whoever controls Castle Greyskull rules the universe in their 1983 decision on Price Adam v. Skelator.

I came here to say that the "Supreme Ruler of the Universe" is a total dipshit and we have evidence.

If I remember right, this douche was the breaking point for me. I had to quit watching partway through, and ended up missing the actual vote.

Mr. Overstreet talks about meaningful debate. Nothing he said is meaningful. . .unless bigotry is meaningful!

Its time to question him in depth about his recent vote allowing minority discrimination next Saturday at the town hall meeting in Lynden. I understand its from 1 to 3 pm. I don't know where it is though.
Maybe facing off with him and his bigotry and not allowing him to hide under the cover of religion, we can get to the real Jason!

Nut job. I met with this guy once. He's just as bad in person. But what's really bad is that this guy represents part of Bellingham. DEAR LIBERAL BELLINGHAMSTERS, PLEASE WAKE UP AND VOTE, and when you do, please vote for the local races too!

he only represents a small sliver of Bellingham (about 12 blocks) what an embarrassment !
