When I lived in Arizona, I once got to witness a lizard eating another lizard that was only a little bit smaller. On my front porch. It looked like some sort of nightmarish, six legged creature with tails on both ends and a distended head in the middle.
Cool photo. It's not all that uncommon around here with the small sharks we commonly call "dogfish." When you catch a small one (happens often when using herring for bait) larger ones will glom on and grab the wounded one. Puget Sound is full of 'em. David Suzuki says we should eat more of them because it's a highly sustainable fishery, but they're a ton of work to prepare and not all that tasty.
