Just like last Wednesday, today brings an historic vote—this time in the state house, which is expected to pass Washington's gay marriage legislation and send it along to Governor Chris Gregoire for her signature.

I'm stepping into my jacket and tie as we speak—can't get on the house floor without them—and will be down there liveblogging all the yea-ing and nay-ing and pre-vote explaining.

Will the speeches be as revealing as they were last week? Will there be more than four Republicans on the yea side? Will Ken Hutcherson crash the party? I'll let you know.

Meantime, if you're interested in the intricacies of what happens after today's vote: check and check.

Armageddon for the bigot Rev. Hutcherson and the bigot Seattleblues.

Could happen to a better couple of assholes.

Why aren't they waiting until later in the session, so that the opponents have less time to collect signatures?

Does anyone know?

I would think that they would want to wait until after March 3rd at least.

@ 4,

I can't stand the grammar-nazis as much as the next guy, but "a" becomes "an" in front of an "h" and "an historic" is correct.
