Sean Hannity Says If President Obama "had his way," Osama Bin Laden Would Still Be Alive

Posted by on Wed, Feb 8, 2012 at 11:21 AM

Holy fuck. He's practically rewriting history as it happens, now:

“They’ve got a foreign policy that shows a lot of weakness,” Hannity said. “I know the President will say they got bin Laden, putting that aside.”

“And the public gives him credit for that,” Luntz interjected.

A reluctant Hannity replied, “But it wouldn’t have happened if he had his way, and I think that could be proven as well on tapes.”

What the fuck is wrong with this man? That is an out-and-out, bold-faced lie. That's the kind of shit that should get you publicly reprimanded by your superiors. Unluckily for us, I guess, nobody is superior to Sean Hannity.

I think they are starting to realize Obama is no pushover.

Wait, you're wondering how Fox News can tell bald-faced lies? Because it is their fucking job.

Comrade Bush had eight years to pull the plug on bin Laden, but on at least five recorded events, two of which you may be aware of, chose not to.

Hannity needs to move to Afghanistan, or something similar.

Hannity's unquestioning minions don't care about reality. They don't mind being lied to, as long as it fits with their long held beliefs.

If Obama cured cancer, conservatives would only blame him for taking away cancer-cure research jobs.

@7- I made love to Madonna in 1985 while George Michael watched and masturbated.

Bold faced. Yes! Lie? Hopefully, I was 11 at the time.

Hey, 5280, I care! I'm also thinking we should call Cienna on "deep-seeded." Pistol-packing pedants unite!

OK, to be honest: I'm not packing. I keep my guns locked up in the basement.

Sean Hannity is a cross between Josef Goebbels and the Prince of Darkness, sowing lies, mistrust, unease and resentments. (Or maybe that's Roger Ailes, with Hannity just being one of his handmaidens.) He has hours a day for his devil's handiwork, corrupting the minds and wills of his audience.

It pains me to hear his vitriolic misinformation come echoing back to me from my own father, who listens to this kind of trash all day long. Or to walk into stores where it's on the radio.

I've listened to actual, professional government propaganda before, via shortwave radio. The USSR and Eastern Bloc countries spent lots of time and effort at it, back in the day. It tickled my cynical sense of humor no end, the preposterous agricultural and industrial claims, the complete alternate reality, the awkward phraseology and cadence.

I'd like to be able to say the same about Hannity, Limbaugh, and the rest of that ilk, but I can't. When it comes to propaganda, they're Major League compared to the Soviets' T-ball.

This shit is not healthy for a free country. Our whole principle of free speech is based on a presumption of innocence, that the speaker honestly believes what they're saying, however right or wrong. This premeditated propagandistic intentional subversion as "entertainment" is very troubling. There's a long and honored tradition of it in print, and in comedy, but it takes on a different order of power when it takes over the public airwaves, and when it's loosed on uncritical minds.

Classic mush - you are badly need of rhetoric, civics, and English as a Second Language classes.

Guess what? People who take Sean Hannity seriously ALREADY KNOW WHAT THEY THINK. Sure he's a loudmouthed liar and fool, but he isn't changing anyone's mind.

I was amused by the "reprimanded by his superiors" comment. How do we know his superiors aren't requiring this type of "new-fact(TM)" to be disseminated by Hannity?

Seriously, if Rupert Murdoch was truly concerned about the kind of shit commentators like Hannity regularly pull out of their asses while on-the-air, he probably wouldn't have hired him in the first place.

up is down, black is white, this shit never stops. Those who listen already meta-believe and are just looking for talking points. Same ol, same ol - but still really sucks.

I think this is what Clint was talking about. Get over it, Fox.
