Your Vote on Gay Marriage

Posted by on Thu, Feb 2, 2012 at 2:19 PM

Go to the Lewis County Chronicle, scroll down to the lower right hand corner, and select "yes," "no," or "I'm not sure" (seriously, who's still not sure?) on the gay marriage poll. Right now the "no" side has 70 percent. Slog tipper I Got Nuthin' and the terrorized liberals of Lewis County thank you.

Looks like you can't vote twice, but their pie chart graphic is nifty.

The "no" vote is at 69% now. Apparently it won't take much to really flip that baby around.

Also the color coding in their chart is reversed from the legend. Way to go geniuses!

Right now the chart shows 72% yes, 53% no, and 4% unsure. :-)

I do not know what to make of that!

I voted, and weirdly the Yes vote was at 70% while the no vote was at 53%. This new math, it's so baffling to me.

The "yes" vote is the majority, but interesting percentages are being reported...

Cut and pasted from the poll:

Yes 72%
No 53%
I'm not sure 4%

Am I crazy or does that add up to 129%?!
Maybe if people keep voting the 'yes' vote can be above 100%!

84% yes, 13% no, 1% 'not paying attention."

I'm not sure what happened between my post and @17 to make 2% of the vote disappear, but I'm pretty sure the Gays have something to do with it.

This is going to be another one of those where the number of votes exceeds the total number of people who read their fishrag by about 450,000% Then there will be wailing that outsiders voted in our poll.

This is fun, any other scientific polls we can fuck with?

I grew up reading the Comical, and can say with certainty that when it finally goes under nothing of value will have been lost.

Still 90/9/1 as of this morning.
