Alaska Airlines Kills God Tomorrow

Posted by on Tue, Jan 31, 2012 at 8:15 AM

From UMVUE:

God is not (yet) dead.

Following up on Charles' Slog post "Alaska Airlines Finally Kills God", I've attached evidence of god's continuance at Alaska. Picture taken 30January2012 at approximately 2:30pm on AS509.

The background is a first class turkey and melted cheese on ciabatta...

Cheers

The thing is this: Alaska Airlines is scheduled to kill God tomorrow...
The prayer cards, which the Seattle-based airline began offering in the 1970s after an executive spotted them on another airline, were intended to serve as a marketing strategy and to put passengers at ease, a spokeswoman said.
The airline sent an e-mail to its frequent flyers on Wednesday explaining the change, which takes effect February 1.
So, what UMVUE captured in the picture is no longer a prayer card but a collector's item.

I didn't realize god was so wimpy that this is all it took to kill him. How did god survive all those years leading up to when Alaska Airlines started this in the 70's?

The afterlife is the last thing I want to think about on a plane.
