The Race Is Tied

Posted by on Thu, Jan 26, 2012 at 3:22 PM

John McCain, Ann Coulter, Bob Dole, and a number of other Republican Party hardliners are supporting Mitt Romney. But Newt Gingrich just won a vital endorsement: Republican ex-representative Duke Cunningham of California, who is currently in prison for accepting bribes:

Newt, a voice out of the past. Down but not out and still fighting. First I do not want anything from you but have been watching the debates. I have 80% of inmates that would vote for you. They might not be able to but their extended families will.

Game, set and match. What's your move now, Mitt Romney?

John McCain and Bob Dole are hardliners? Whew--here I was scared to death that Rick Santorum and Michelle Bachman were actually running for President.

There's just something wrong about calling Bob Dole a "hardliner".

(What can I say? Slog sometimes brings out the most juvenile in me).

Getting an endorsement from inmates is like getting an endorsement from cane toads in Queensland.

He's obviously in a white collar prison if he found that many inmates willing to vote for a Republican.

I've been wondering when the inmate hive mind would endorse.

Mitt's going to drop out of the race now -- remember? Will in Seattle said so.

Newt will never accept the endorsement. It might make him look soft on crime.

Cunningham is gay, right? So this must be the gay agenda trying to get Gingrich to be the nominee.
