I'm Out. Who Wants to Be the Next Unpaid News Intern?

Today is my last day at The Stranger. This means that someone needs to take my "job." Do YOU want to be my replacement?

The winning candidate will read lots of crime reports, write about the worst crimes, round up neighborhood news, write morning news for Slog on the weekends, update the events calendar, make a lot of phone calls, and answer some bizarre ones. You won't have to get people coffee.

Internships generally last three months. You will need to be available at least three days a week for five hours a day (preferably between 10:00 a.m and 3:00 p.m. ) The ideal candidate closely follows local politics and can work independently without being too chatty. (Seriously.)

If you want to take my awesome, never-boring, paycheck-free job, send an e-mail with the subject "news internship" with your resume, short writing samples (if you've got them), and a brief note on why you want to be an unpaid news intern.

Bye, everyone!
Marley
