You guys are so cute. You're like little kids seeing snow for the first time.

I hate to say it, but it seems like we're now seeing freezing rain. Boy, I hope it warms up. Freezing rain is awful on trees and power lines.

@2 Yes, but it can make the shrubbery in the parks look all magical and crystally. It's more visually stunning, though, when there isn't snow already over everything.

Just watch out for falling icicles and tree branches.

I like that guy's attitude! The college kids on my block were, ahem, chilling red wine in the snow while they snowboarded down our street.

@2 I checked in out earlier and the shoveled sidewalk (and I imagine the roads, too) were indeed black ice.

Our flight was cancelled. Seatac was completely shut for a couple of hours; one runway is open. We're rebooked, if we can actually get to the airport; a big if at this point. The entire region is covered with a quarter- to a half-inch of ice.

So, what, this guy think that just because he's hotter than me and puts a lot more effort into the bit than I did he can just steal my bit? Well! I'm just gonna go sulk all day.

@7, one runway open? Shiiit. Boyfriend is supposed to fly from Victoria to LA today. Hopefully he can go through Vancouver. Either way it looks like he's gonna have a long day.

That pic looks great as long as there's a sauna handy.

Just drove from Bellevue down I-405 to Renton and it was all slush. Personally I think it was easier and better to drive on than yesterday..

Someone needs to tell us what kind of wine goes well with snow and sledding.

For a Chicago winter, I recommend a glass of medium-cheap white zinfandel from a bottle that I first opened a month or two ago. Why? Because that's what I have on hand.
