Wisconsin Dems Collect One Million Signatures to Recall Gov. Walker

Posted by on Tue, Jan 17, 2012 at 12:24 PM

Wisconsin Democrats needed to collect 540,208 signatures by today's deadline to prompt a recall election of anti-worker Republican Governor Scott Walker. That's 25 percent of the total votes cast in the 2010 gubernatorial election. A pretty tall order.

Today, they turned in over one million signatures spread across 152,000 pages of recall petitions, only slightly less than the 1.1 million votes Walker received in November, 2010. Wow.

State Dems also turned in another 900,000 signatures on recall petitions for Lt. Gov. Rebecca Kleefisch and four Republican state senators, all well above the signature threshold necessary.

It's gonna be another fun year in Wisconsin politics, and a possible augur for next November.

Now the real challenge: Finding a Democrat with a SPINE. Sorry, none here in Washington, you'll have to look elsewhere.

Dwight Pelz needs to start tying 'moderate' McKenna to Scott Walker. "Do you want to a preview of what Rob will do to our state? Look at Wisconsin."

That gubernatorial race in 2020 was a doozy. If not for my awesome time machine I may have missed it. But you know what really kills/will kill? The Alabama Senate contest of 2140. That was when cannibalism finally took center stage in the debates. The Republicans won of course, by speaking out against such a barbaric practice and then eating all of Ron Paul's descendants! What a hoot!

@3 Walker has a GOP legislature, McKenna would not, and he wouldn't be good for the state but he smart enough to know he can't be walker esp if Walker is recalled.

Mickey Mouse only signed the petition 14 times, a record low. Doodad Pro was unavailable for comment.
