  • E.S.
  • Sunday's Snowpacalypse.

To answer your question: Yes, the snow will continue.

Here are the City of Seattle's snow maps (including a map of which streets are plowed first).

Here is Metro's snow page.

And here is Sound Transit's winter weather page.

Meanwhile, down at the Golden Globes, people wore things and won things.

Dept. of Obvious: The owner of the capsized Italian cruise ship says that "significant human error" was involved in the accident.

Last night Jon Huntsman became the first of the second-tier Republican candidates to admit it's not going to happen this cycle.

Here in supposedly blue Washington, Republican Rob McKenna has hauled in $560,000 more than Democrat Jay Inslee in the race for the governor's mansion.

In Syria, international observers are watching, but aren't sure what they're seeing.

A snowshoer is missing on Mt. Rainier.

Big Money is a lot less blue than supposedly-blue Washington. Which is why money will always rule politics in FreedomLand USA.

Finally, Beyonce displays the initiative and leadership other recording artists have failed to muster. My favorite part is "Words do inspire." "This shirt, for example. Please look at me."

Out-of-state republican PACs have millions ready to pour into this race. And we'll never know where it's coming from, or who's behind it.

The garbage truck has been stuck outside my window trying to get the rest of the way up the hill for close to an hour now.

Murdoch has attacked Google for being a "piracy leader" and Obama for bowing to Silicon Valley "paymasters". Does he even hear himself? That from BBC.

The Rev Martin Luther King Jr was a Southern Christian clergymen living the Gospel of Jesus Christ to make the world a better place.

He was one in a long line of like individuals over the centuries whose Christian beliefs inspired and motivated them.

Slog likes to condemn all religion,
and Christianity especially-
but Bigots always focus on and magnify the flaws in those they hate and refuse to acknowledge the virtues and good works.

It is a sad way to go through life;
hatred and bigotry hurt most those who harbor them.

After looking at that shirt I really do believe that Beyonce really did design it herself.

Dept. of Obvious = Dept. of Assumption as we obviously don't know the sequence of events and don't understand that humans sometimes use and rely on electronics.

It's "Department of Obvious" if you've been paying any attention at all to the details about how it happened.

The design duo joins more than 20 bold-faced names, including Russell Simmons, Diddy, Tory Burch and Vera Wang, taking part in Vogue editrix Anna Wintour’s Runway to Win initiative, which donates its proceeds to Obama’s re-election campaign.

It's never a surprise when Republican candidates raise more money than his/her Democratic counterpart. Republicans are richer than Democrats. Indeed, their wealth is probably the primary reason they are Republicans. The good news is - people will vote Democratic if they are Democrats regardless of the money spent by the Republican candidate. It's the so-called "Independents" you have to worry about. They are a pretty wishy-washy bunch, in my opinion.

The Golden Globes were really dull this year. Never any surprises anymore. Always predictable. I have no proof, but I bet Madonna told the HFPA, "I'm not coming to the ceremony unless I win." And they said, "OK." That's the rap about the Golden Globes anyway.
