Crow Starting a Cat Fight?

Posted by on Mon, Jan 16, 2012 at 9:28 AM

To me, it looks like the crow is trying to stop it...

That's amazing. No, the crow was definitely trying to anger them up so they would fight for his amusement.

I'm not sure the crow was instigating a fight. I also don't think it was breaking anything up. I do wonder what the crow stood to gain by picking at the cats. Maybe there was nothing to gain other than the just the joy of torturing another being.

The crow gets to pick over the carcass of the loser.

No Charles, the crow who has a clear dislike of the black cat for whatever reasons, egged the black cat into the fight and then got in a few more nips on the black cat during the fight. It seems it was harder for him to continue biting at the black cat when it was down the cement steps scufflin' with the orange cat but crow knows what he's doing. Maybe the black cat took the plastic ring crow used to ski with.

My cats are now quite alarmed after hearing this video.

On a related note: To those who love to alarm their kitties with youtube videos, try elephants trumpeting.

Maybe it's an Asperger crow attempting social interaction.

Two toms. My guess is he knows the orange cat. In fact, I bet the orange cat let's him eat his leftovers. Crows are very loyal.

Is it totally fucked up to think that fighting cats are really funny? I mean, they are totally fuzzy and MAD - like when little kids get outraged. I'm all "oh, they think their rage matters."

Note: I really like cats don't approve of letting them run about to get in fights/eat endangered songbird species/be eaten by coyotes, but I figure this interaction already happened, so I might as well enjoy.
