Two Cities: Chicago and Seattle

Posted by on Fri, Jan 6, 2012 at 9:00 AM

I like this little project, Double Vision, by Amy Heather and Ellie Lonardo.

Heather is in Chicago and Lonardo is in Seattle. Heather shot "a roll of film in Chicago and sent it undeveloped to [Lonardo]." Yes, it's not groundbreaking or anything like that. (If you want a groundbreaking collaboration between Chi-town and Sea-town check out Dark Time Sunshine.) But it does capture a type of intimacy and tranquility that's deeply and simply urban.

Good Morning Charles,
I was born in Chicago and raised in a close suburb. Chicago is a fine town. I now reside in Seattle another fine town. Two cities in America with contrast and charm.

That's a nice giant hair they've captured there in the sky.

Urban is your God; Rural is your Devil.

Charles - thanks for the tip on Dark Time Sunshine. I was born/raised in Seattle and reside in Chicago (I'm either lark's evil or possibly good twin). It's exciting to hear the confluence of sons of the two cities.
