"Seattle Is Objectively Superior to the Place You Grew Up"

Posted by on Fri, Jan 6, 2012 at 12:13 PM

The blog Rotten in Denmark lays out several dozen reasons this is true, and it is hilarious.

Thank you, Metafilter.

But wait, we can't let this get out... No one must know of our incredible awesomeness...

Where's Emmett Watson when we need him?!?

Really nice set of photos... I love the 'it's always sunset' line...

Dammit. I grew up in Wallingford. I have no where to go!

I laughed quite a bit reading this -- one of my favorite was taking the ferry to get 7-11. HELL YEAH.

Nicely done.

I'm a little confused by "three mountain ranges", though.

Olympics, Cascades, and Queen Anne, natch.

Fuck off and die, Will. Blow your brains out.

@8 - Was hung up on the same thing, as well as by what metric Seattle has only (or as many as, depending) four lakes. I can only surmise each entry devolved into comedy earlier than you might expect, and by surmising anything about a funny little blog entry, I'm probably thinking about it way too hard.

Is the Synagogue St. Marks? Not to be too picky, but...

I'm sure Will is a good libtard and doesn't own a gun, Fnarf. More's the pity.

@11, Union, Green, Haller, Bitter. Washington is only partly Seattle's.

@12, yes. I think that's part of the joke.

Jeez, you nit-pickers are as bad as the ones on the blog whining "it's a 737 not a 787!". Just enjoy your plane delivered mocha pizza.

@8: Olympics, cascades, and mt Rainier (technically in the cascades but looks separate when viewed from Seattle.) Thats what I thought when I first moved here.

Haha! So funny! If only it were true and it wasn't shitty, cold, and rainy for more than three quarters of the year. Hilarious that this person selected, apparently, the only 14 photos in existence that make Seattle look halfway decent. I pity the fools that move here!
